The original Kingston fire hall now the Lonestar Café was designed and built in 1876 by John power city architect steam powered engines driven by horse and led by a driver would blast through the streets to the inferno that often blazed.The tall tower was the building design so that the wet hoses could be dragged up and hung to dry after use it’s located at 251 Ontario St. in Kingston.
